BIOGRAPHY

Growing up as part of a military family, Joseph moved often throughout childhood. He has lived on both coasts and plenty of states in between – each place showed him a new perspective and provided him with many stories and images to tuck away for future use.

Today, Joseph is an award-winning graphic designer whose diverse experience has given him the opportunity to work on projects ranging from annual reports, music albums, advertising campaigns, specialty books, identities, retail packaging, websites and the fortune to collaborate with high profile celebrity photographers and fashion designers. But when that work is done, Joseph really enjoys spending his time translating his personal stories into humorous illustrations. Many illustrations have a quirky little monkey cast as the main character that frolics in interesting life scenarios. Joseph also works in mixed media making paintings on oversized playing cards and has also completed an elaborate sky city of birdhouses in his backyard.

Joseph has a B.F.A. in visual communications from Truman State, Missouri and currently lives in Los Angeles with his dog Finn, who at times, reminds him of the importance of finding new discoveries. He enjoys the pleasures of southern California and loves that in the same weekend he could paddle his surfboard in the ocean, hit the ski slopes or take a drive up the coast to wine country.
